Most fights are easy enough and you will get used to it eventually.Īnd as for why he wants to do it indraconian mode: most likely because normal mode is waaaaaaahaaahaaaahaaay too easy. However, that said: i did not mind the RNG in DQ11 too much. This combat system is hard to balance and can only barely be described as requireing skill or strategy. I got a lot of crap over the years since i'm apparently the only one. It's virutally the same thing just that you don't have crazy luckbased moments in which you randomly block (or don`t) and it decides the battle.
If a shield gives 6% block chance, just make it give 6% reduced damage taken.
They could have just revamped the entire thing. Why is there a crit/evade/block/parry/dodge chance? Every aspect is random. It's pretty indicate that if you press Square it stops the first reel, Triangle stops the middle and Circle stops the right. Why is there a hitchance? Why can status ailment spells miss. the only thing that I know of is if you have it in your inventory, you can press L1 or L2 (forgot which one but the game tells you when you go on a slot) to 'reveal' secret buttons. They chose to make it this much luck based. To be completely clear here: DQ is completely RNG (random) based in every single aspect of combat, so this thread is absolutely correct.Īnd the dev knows this. You have options to minimize these things and they work. Originally posted by Promethian:With full Draconian, yes, there are a few fights like this.
